Some weddings just feel extra special, and this one was definitely one of those! The love between Ashley & Murphy was evident from the moment the day started. Having been together for four years, Murphy made Ashley’s birthday one she’ll never forget when he proposed, adding another layer of sweetness to their love story. Capturing this wedding as their videographer was an absolute joy. The moments were beautiful, emotional, and oh-so-heartfelt.

Watch their stunning highlight video below before diving into all the fun details from their magical day:

The day kicked off at the Hampton Inn where Ashley and her girls were busy getting ready. The room was full of laughter and excitement as hair and makeup were being perfected. When it was time for Ashley to step into her wedding dress, the mood shifted to one of quiet awe as her mom helped lace up the gorgeous corset back. Seriously, Ashley looked like a Disney princess – the dress was that perfect. Once the final touches were added, including her jewellery, we made our way downstairs for a super emotional first look with Ashley’s dad. Let me tell you, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. These are the moments that make weddings so special, and I’m so happy we captured them for her to relive over and over.

After the dad-daughter first look, we made our way to Civic Gardens for the next big moment – Ashley and Murphy’s first look. It was just the two of them, standing on the bridge, soaking in the moment. As soon as Murphy turned around to see his bride, he was speechless. You could see the love and admiration in his eyes as he took in how stunning she looked. They shared a few quiet moments together, just enjoying the day before the whirlwind of the ceremony and celebration began.

Next up, we captured some family and couple portraits in the beautiful gardens before heading inside for the ceremony. Civic Gardens is such a fantastic location with its lovely patio area, and it made for a picturesque backdrop as Ashley and Murphy exchanged their vows in front of their closest friends and family. In addition to their vows and rings, the couple did a touching sand ceremony using pink and white sand, symbolizing the blending of their lives together. After signing the marriage licence, they sealed the deal with a kiss and walked down the aisle, officially husband and wife!

Before the reception kicked off, we headed back outside for a few more extended family photos and couple portraits – we couldn’t get enough of the beautiful light and the smiles on their faces. Then it was time for the grand entrance, and the fun really began! Speeches were heartfelt and hilarious, coming from their parents, siblings, and, of course, the bride and groom themselves.

The dances were a real highlight of the evening. Murphy and his mom had a sweet moment on the dance floor, followed by an emotional father-daughter dance with Ashley and her dad. And then, the pièce de résistance – Ashley and Murphy’s choreographed first dance. They absolutely nailed it, twirling and dipping like pros. It was such a beautiful way to kick off the night, and once the floor opened to the guests, it stayed packed until I left. Everyone was having the time of their lives, and you could feel the joy radiating from the newlyweds and their loved ones.

Ashley and Murphy, I hope your wedding day was everything you dreamed it would be and more.
