August was a rollercoaster of excitement, creativity, and unforgettable moments here at BMann Studios. From dreamy weddings and adorable pet photoshoots to heartwarming family sessions, we've been everywhere and back! Here’s a little recap of our whirlwind month, so buckle up and relive these beautiful memories with us.
Ashley & Murphy’s Dream Wedding at Civic Gardens
We kicked off August with a bang on the 3rd, capturing Ashley & Murphy’s gorgeous wedding at Civic Gardens in London, Ontario. We love this venue – not just because it’s practically in our backyard, but because it always delivers stunning shots. The day was filled with love, laughter, and a dream team of vendors that made it all come together perfectly. Megan & Millie: Puppy Love at Meadowlily
On August 4th, we swapped wedding bells for wagging tails with Megan and her absolutely adorable pup, Millie. Seriously, is there anything cuter than a high-energy golden doodle stealing the show? We ventured to Meadowlily and got some killer shots that are just bursting with puppy charm. If you’ve got a furry friend, we highly recommend scheduling a photoshoot – it’s pure, unfiltered joy!
Capturing Love in the Big City: A Toronto Wedding
Fast forward to August 8th, and we found ourselves in Toronto, celebrating love in the city with Joanna & Murat! One of my best friends tied the knot in a beautiful civil ceremony, and while I was only supposed to snap a few shots… well, you know me – I had to capture every moment! This is just the beginning though; their big wedding next year in Turkey (with an after-celebration in Mauritius!) is going to be a showstopper. Can you feel my excitement? Because it’s through the roof!
Family Fun at Civic Gardens: Allison & Little Lionel 👶
Back to Civic Gardens on August 9th, where we had a blast with Allison and her adorable 9-month-old son, Lionel. This little guy had all the smiles, and their outfit change to matching outfits was absolutely precious.
Wild One Cake Smash: Mr. Buck’s Big Day
Later that day, we headed back to the studio for one of our favourite types of sessions – a cake smash! Mr. Buck turned one, and we celebrated with a “Wild One” theme featuring green and brown balloons and leafy décor. Cake smash sessions are always a riot, and this one did not disappoint. Buck had the time of his life digging into that cake, and we got the most fun shots!
Megan & Randy’s Waterfront Wedding at Bogey’s Inn
On August 10th, we were back in action at one of our favourite venues, Bogey’s Inn. Megan & Randy’s wedding by the water was nothing short of magical. From getting ready just a few doors apart to their stunning first look on the dock, every moment was picture-perfect. We’re working on their full wedding video, but for now, enjoy a quick reel to relive their beautiful day.
Meet Miss Sophia: A Special Family Session
August 11th was all about reconnecting with past clients as we met baby Sophia. I had the honour of capturing Laura and Tanner’s destination wedding last year, so meeting their little one was extra special. We did a cozy in-home session that was overflowing with love. Choosing just a few images to share was tough because they were all so precious!
Cake Smashes Galore: Mr. Jalen & Mr. Eli
We had a cake smash double feature on August 15th and 16th! First up was Mr. Jalen with a colourful Cocomelon theme that was absolutely adorable – seriously, look at those curls!
Then came Mr. Eli’s “Fishing” theme (O-fish-ally One!) with shades of blue and white. These sessions are always so much fun, and we love seeing the creative themes our clients come up with!
Camilla & Tristen’s Perfect Day at Forest City National Golf Club
August 17th brought us to Camilla & Tristen’s wedding at Forest City National Golf Club. Despite the mosquitoes (I’m still itching, btw!), the day was perfect. The love these two share is beautiful, and their highlight reel is just a sneak peek of the magic we captured. Stay tuned for the full blog post and video later this month!
Celinah & Majdi’s Emotional Gender Reveal 💙💖
August 18th was an emotional rollercoaster as we helped Celinah & Majdi with their gender reveal. These two got married last December and found out they were expecting a few months ago. I was the first to know if it was a boy or girl, and let me tell you, I almost cried behind the lens! I’m beyond excited to share their video soon.
Empowered Business Forum: A Day of Inspiration
August 21st marked the 3rd annual Empowered Business Forum at the Hunt Club in London. We’ve been a part of this event since the beginning, and it’s always a day of inspiration and empowerment. If you had your headshots taken, keep an eye on your inbox – they’ll be arriving soon!
Mackenzie & Matthew’s Wedding at Bellamere
On August 24th, we ventured to Bellamere for Mackenzie & Matthew’s stunning wedding. The first look was pure magic, and their Wine Box Ceremony was special to watch! Even the mosquitoes couldn’t dampen the love that filled the air. Keep an eye out for their full blog post with more photos and their highlight video coming soon!
Max’s Minis: A Heartfelt Tradition 🌻
August 25th was a special day at BMann Studios – it was time for our 5th annual Max’s Minis. These sessions in the sunflower field are a cherished tradition, held in memory of Miracle Max, $20 from every session was donated to Miracle Max’s Minions. We’ll be sharing a more in-depth blog post about this heartfelt event soon.
Celebrating 100 Years of Ruth: A Centennial Birthday Bash
Between Max’s Minis, we made a quick pit stop at the Hunt Club for Ruth’s 100th birthday party. Yes, you read that right – 100! Ruth is a true inspiration, still going strong with a life story that left us all in awe. Her family came together to celebrate this incredible woman, and the love in the room was palpable. Ruth, here’s to 100 more!
Felisha & Lincoln: A Hot Day
On August 27th, we headed behind Parkwood Hospital for a fun-filled session with Felisha and her handsome golden, Lincoln. It was a scorcher at 32 degrees, but these two didn’t let the heat get them down. Lincoln, of course, was more interested in lying down than sitting, but we still got some fantastic shots – including some “fall” flannel ones.
Brittany & Josh’s Engagement Session (With a Twist!) 💍
We wrapped up August with an engagement session for Brittany & Josh behind Parkwood on August 29th. Their adorable 7-year-old twins joined in on the fun, and we even threw in some classic “Sears 90’s poses” at the end. Highly recommend it for a blast from the past and some major laughs!
Looking Ahead to September
Phew, what a month! August was jam-packed with beautiful moments, and September is shaping up to be just as busy. A heads-up: I’ll be out of the office from September 16-23 for my bestie’s wedding. If you’re looking to book fall photos, we’ve got a few spots left for our fall minis, but don’t wait – they’re going fast! And don’t forget to check out our upcoming holiday minis too.
