Katrina & Eric's Wedding at Bogey’s Inn: A Perfect Day by the River

Katrina and Eric's wedding on June 1, 2023, was nothing short of amazing. With colours of Dusty/Twilight Blue and Ivory, this beautiful event took place at Bogey’s Inn in Sombra, Ontario. This unique riverfront venue was the perfect backdrop for these two lovebirds. And here's their highlight video to relive this amazing day!

These two met 15 years ago at a dock party in high school. Fast forward a few years, and Eric popped the question at a Chicago Bears football game while they were in Chicago with a group of their close friends. Talk about a memorable proposal!

The wedding day began at the couple's home, where I captured Katrina getting ready with her bridesmaids and parents. Katrina's dress was a showstopper, featuring stunning bow sleeves that she had added. We did a first look with her dad, followed by one with all her bridesmaids. Seeing everyone's reactions to the bride is always such a special moment.

After bride prep, we headed to Bogey’s Inn to capture the guys finishing up getting ready. The ceremony took place across the lawn, with a breathtaking view from the deck overlooking the water. It was short and sweet, and even though the couple opted out of writing their own vows, the officiant's words beautifully captured the love between them.

Post-ceremony, we moved down to the large lawn for family photos, bridal party shots, and couple portraits. Then, it was time to head to the side patio for cocktail hour, where Katrina and Eric got to celebrate with their friends and family. I love when couples can enjoy time with their guests during cocktail hour, making the whole day not just about photos.

The reception was a blast! This group knew how to party, hooting and hollering from the moment they sat down until I left for the night. It was a challenge to keep them quiet enough for the speeches! Before the evening ended, we visited the vintage car garage at Bogey’s Inn. This spot is nothing short of amazing, and it was an honour to shoot there with the couple under the night sky and neon lights.

Katrina and Eric's wedding day was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. It was a privilege to capture their special day as their London Ontario videographer. Congratulations, Katrina and Eric! Here's to many more beautiful memories together.
