On June 8, 2023, Meghan and Richard tied the knot on Meghan's charming family farm, surrounded by the earthy hues of Sage, Eucalyptus, and Gold. This serene and picturesque setting was perfect for a couple whose love story began with a magical sunrise proposal on the sandy shores of Pelee Island. Richard ‘found a cool shell’, as Meghan looked down, she found him on one knee, bringing tears and joy to a moment that felt straight out of a fairy tale.

Planning for the big day kicked off shortly after, with Meghan envisioning a heartfelt celebration in the family barn, a place brimming with cherished memories. Their wedding started with a beautifully private first look on the family porch.

Before the ceremony, we captured portraits of Meghan and Richard with their bridal party and close family, setting a joyful tone for the afternoon. At 3:30, Meghan's father walked her down the aisle, and amidst laughter and tears, the couple exchanged vows they'd wrote themselves. With rings exchanged and documents signed, Meghan and Richard were officially declared husband and wife!

As the cocktail hour commenced, the rain, which had been lurking in the forecast, made its dramatic entrance. Fortunately, the barn provided shelter for the reception, although guests had to make quick dashes through the downpour for bathroom breaks. Dinner was a feast of laughter and heartfelt speeches from the couple's parents, best man, maid of honour, and family members. First dances followed, with Meghan and Richard sharing a tender moment on the dance floor. A unique anniversary dance brought everyone together, inviting married couples to join the newlyweds as the years were called out, turning into a dance party.

Despite the rain, the celebration continued with a packed dance floor, flowing drinks, and infectious energy. We stole the couple away for a few enchanting night-time photos in the barn where their journey began. The rain added a touch of drama to the photos, capturing the essence of a love story that embraced every moment, rain or shine. Meghan and Richard then returned to the dance floor, while I head home for the night.
